In our hotel, we use sulphide water from natural springs located in the vicinity of Busko. Sulphide baths have an anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect on connective tissue, and thus they create favourable conditions for thetreatment of chronic rheumatoid diseases and osteoarthritis (due to absorption of sulphur ions by the vascular system, which contributes to regeneration of damaged jointcartilages). They are beneficial for arteriosclerosis. They lower the cholesterol level, smoothen the skin and make it more elastic, as well as enhance resistance to infections. In the case of dermatological diseases, they support the treatment of psoriasis, acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
Carbon dioxide contained in water forms bubbles on the skin, which triggers off many reactions in the body. It results in vasodilatation of arteries and skin capillaries, which leads to an increase in the blood supply to the skin and, consequently, to lower blood pressure and a lower heart rate. It causes an increase in metabolism, the blood supply to the brain and oxygen intake in the lungs. CO2 baths also have a calming and relaxing effect.
The effects of a brine bath consist in a healing impact of salt penetrating the epidermis and outlets of sweat glands. The salt also causes softening and loosening of the skin. The treatment reduces the excitability of sensory and motor nerves. It normalizes blood pressure and improves blood circulation, as well as stimulates the blood supply to the skin. It regulates metabolism of the skin and improves its resistance.
During this bath, chemical effects of peat mud containing humic and fulvic acids, estrogenic bodies, proteins and tannins are used. The treatment is carried out with a reduction of the thermal effect between 35ºC and 37ºC.The bath has an analgesic and antispasmodic effect, and it cleanses the body of metabolic waste. Baths are used in osteoarthritis, AS, post-traumatic conditions, gynaecological diseases and diseases of the urinary tract.
The main indications are joint degenerative disease, shoulder pain syndrome, myalgia, contractures andBechterew’s disease. The peat owes its therapeutical properties to its components, including humic acids, bitumens proteins, resins, micro- and macroelements,as well as salts and silica that ensure natural bodycare. Organic acids and salts provide astringent, antiinflammatory and antibacterial effect
This partial bath involves immersing the upper and lower limbs in sulphide water without the need to enter the tub.Effects of sulphide water during a sulphide limb bath are such as when taking a bath. It is applied to patients withexisting contraindications against a full-body bath.
Shock waves are acoustic waves carrying energy to the pain area. Thanks to the delivered energy, processes of treatment and regeneration of tendons and soft tissue occur. Pain relief is a benefit of using a shock wave therapy. The therapy owes its analgesic effect to blocking the release and transfer of pain signals. Moreover, the provided energy stimulates metabolism, as well as improves blood circulation and collagen synthesis, which results in a significant acceleration of soft tissue regeneration.
BMS is a method of therapy applied mainly to dysfunctions of the locomotor system, accelerating rehabilitation and improving the overall condition of the body. It is used by healthy people to prevent diseases of the locomotor system, as a fast warm up and a method for improving the general fitness and increasing the muscle strength and mass, as well as for body shaping. It is also one of the most effective physical methods for weight loss withina comprehensive programme of weight reduction. BMS results in warmed-up muscles, improved blood circulation and, consequently, an increase in metabolism. Depending on the applied frequency of vibration, it allows one to achieve the effect of muscle strengthening or relaxation and normalization of muscle tension, as well as an analgesic effect. In the therapy, three devices are used:a Miniswing of local effect, a Multiswing of both systemic and local effects and a Bestvibe of systemic effect.15 minutes of training using the BSM method substitute 90 minutes of traditional training.
The tissue subjected to this treatment undergoes a micromassage, which results in an increased temperature and accelerated microcirculation. This allows us to achieve analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oedema, bioregeneration and relaxing effects, as well as to accelerate the healing of damaged tissues.
As a result of the influence of an alternating magnetic field, ions contained in body cells are moved, which causes hyperpolarisation of the cell membrane and thus enhances metabolism. It improves blood circulation, accelerates wound healing and increases the utilization of oxygen by the cell. It results in pain relief, prevents inflammatory conditions, supports quick regeneration of damaged bone structures (fractures, dislocations, sprains) and relaxes tense muscles.
It consists in subjecting the tissue to the influence of a direct electric current. The treatment increases the blood supply to and excitability of the neuromuscular system, reduces muscle tension and oedema. It has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Currents generated by the overlapping of a direct current with a harmonic current. The main advantage of these currents is a strong analgesic effect, resulting in a longlasting increase in the pain threshold. The currents are also used to perform electrical stimulation of healthy or slightly damaged muscles.
Currents characterized by a strong effect on selected structures of the nervous system. Due to the influence of Trabert currents on the nervous system, through a reflex, blood circulation and nutrition of tissues are improved. The procedure is used for the treatment of neuralgia and peripheral circulation disorders.
Medium frequency currents, known as Nemec currents, that are created as a result of interference (i.e.overlapping) of two alternating currents in tissues. They have an analgesic effect and improve blood circulation in vessels. They are recommended after acute ailment symptoms have subsided.
Healthy muscle training with the use of stimulation with medium frequency currents. Kotz currents are often used in both rehabilitation and biological regeneration, as well as in sports as a method for supporting strength orendurance training of muscles.
TENS impulse current of a low frequency, having a strong analgesic effect. It consists in suppressing pain by stimulation of nerves. The procedure is used for the treatment of muscle pain syndromes, back and joint pain syndromes and neuralgia.
Electrical stimulation consists in applying various impulses of direct current to obtain a contraction of certain muscle groups. This is achieved through placing electrodes on points of attachment or a motor point of a stimulated muscle or nerve.

Aerozolotherapy (inhalation therapy, inhalations)
It is an innovative, non-invasive Polish method of neurophysiological and psychological rehabilitation. Based on Far Eastern acupuncture and acupressure, reflexology and the principles of fascia, somatic and vegetative nervous system. It has a detoxifying and deacidifying effect. Stimulates the body with special nails, the so-called clavicles. It affects the regulation of the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, excretory, reproductive and endocrine systems.
It deals with diagnoses and treatment of structural disorders of the locomotor system. Due to an elaborated schema of discriminatory tests, a physiotherapist uses a detailed medical history and physical examination to find disordered structures, determine a degree of damage and analyse mechanisms for the appearance of symptoms. Thus, they can formulate a hypothesis on the patient’s structural disorder and, consequently, an objective of the therapy. To maintain the progress in treatment, the therapist recommends appropriate exercises and gives guidance on how to maintain the correct posture during day and night.
A therapist sticks several flexible plasters to the patient’s body, which supports or relaxes the muscle function, increases local blood circulation and protects strained oroverloaded ligaments. The treatment can be performed during a manual therapy to sustain its effects or as a separate treatment.
Exercises selected individually, depending on the patient’s condition, with a particular emphasis on precision of doing the exercises; intended as both the preparation for certain manual therapy techniques and as a continuationof the treatment at home to prevent the recurrence ofsymptoms. Exercises are performed and administered individually. These exercises are often carried out with the use of specialist equipment, a system of cords, blocks andelastics.
The Tergumed 710 System combines a training device with a computer that analyzes the spine abilities and rehabilitation progress. Exercises may be performed even by patients with significant spine pain. Owing to an appropriate exercise selection, they will not feel discomfort. The device identifies weakened muscles and based on the results, the therapy is chosen to increase the strength and improve the spine coordination.
A therapy with a monochromatic cohesive light beam of a high energy density is a quick and effective treatment method that does not cause side effects and can be applied to any area of the body. The energy applied in this treatment enables a deeper penetration of the tissue, which allows the laser to stimulate and treat any painful spots within the body and supports effectively the body’s natural ability to regenerate
We have a new generation cabin emitting UVA and UVB rays of 311 nm. This wavelength of light is most effective for the treatment of many skin diseases, in particular psoriasis, vitiligo and atopic dermatitis. The cabin is characterized by its high power and, simultaneously, the safety of treatment. The computer system adjusts the intensity of radiation to the body shape
A cryosauna is intended to perform systemic cryotherapy treatments with the range of temperature between -100 and - 150°C. In these conditions, through the stimulation of a natural biological response of the body, processes of biological regeneration take place. It also causes relaxation and an increase in function parameters.
A liquid nitrogen therapy allows one to cool the body locally through contact of a stream of cold nitrogen steam with tissue. It relieves pain and reduces the activity of an inflammatory process, as well as reduces muscle tension and oedema. The procedure is used in rheumatic and degenerative diseases, injuries of the locomotor system and discopathy.
It is one of the oldest forms of therapy known to man. Through carefully selected hand techniques, a masseur can relax muscles, skin and subcutaneous tissues, as well as increase blood circulation in a treated area, which results in a reduction in pain and acceleration of tissue healing. The achieved effect of muscle relaxation also results in psycho-physical relaxation, helping to combat stress and mental fatigue
Through the use of different massage techniques, the muscles become relaxed, and pains subside. It leads to a reduction in physical and mental tension, fatigue and anxiety caused by prolonged stress. Price: PLN 150, duration: 30’ Price: PLN 280, duration: 60’
It is a special type of massage used to treat various types of oedema. With the use of very delicate manual techniques, a masseur increases the flow of lymphatic fluid, which results in the clearing of lymph flow paths, a decrease in oedema and facilitation of tissue functioning handicapped due to oedema. Over a longer period, the use of drainage helps to form substitute paths of lymph circulation, which prevent the recurrence of oedema.
This is a dry massage performed with the use of a device with a vibrating membrane. The membrane vibration is caused by pressurised water flowing through the device. The effect of the aquavibron and its therapeutic effects are similar to the classic massage.
Aquamed is a device for a “dry” massage. It is a perfect combination of massage and heat so as to achieve significant therapeutic effects and relaxation. The device allows one to adjust the massage to individual needs as far as possible. It also enables one to achieve better and faster results in both general relaxation of muscles and alleviation of pain symptoms.
A pressure massage with the use of a device is a way to model legs, buttocks and arms, as well as to get rid of the sagging skin and cellulite. This device consists of specially designed sleeves filled with air, in which compressive waves are generated under pressure, stimulating lymph circulation. Leg oedema disappears, a feeling of heaviness subsides. The device allows one to perform treatments of pneumatic, lymphatic, pulse and classic massage of the upper and lower limbs.
Doing exercises in the morning affects positively the mood because endorphins, called hormones of happiness, are released. Morning exercises stretch muscles and warm up joints effectively, preparing them to be active during the day. They do not require much effort; thus, they do not cause shock to the body. They “wake up” the muscles gradually, improve blood circulation, and - what is important for dieters - speed up metabolism for the whole day, due to which the body burns calories faster.
