Sulphide bath

In our hotel, we use sulphide water from natural springs located in the vicinity of Busko. Sulphide baths have an anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect on connective tissue, and thus they create favourable conditions for thetreatment of chronic rheumatoid diseases and osteoarthritis (due to absorption of sulphur ions by the vascular system, which contributes to regeneration of damaged jointcartilages). They are beneficial for arteriosclerosis. They lower the cholesterol level, smoothen the skin and make it more elastic, as well as enhance resistance to infections. In the case of dermatological diseases, they support the treatment of psoriasis, acne and seborrheic dermatitis.

Carbonic acid bath

Carbon dioxide contained in water forms bubbles on the skin, which triggers off many reactions in the body. It results in vasodilatation of arteries and skin capillaries, which leads to an increase in the blood supply to the skin and, consequently, to lower blood pressure and a lower heart rate. It causes an increase in metabolism, the blood supply to the brain and oxygen intake in the lungs. CO2 baths also have a calming and relaxing effect.

Brine bath

The effects of a brine bath consist in a healing impact of salt penetrating the epidermis and outlets of sweat glands. The salt also causes softening and loosening of the skin. The treatment reduces the excitability of sensory and motor nerves. It normalizes blood pressure and improves blood circulation, as well as stimulates the blood supply to the skin. It regulates metabolism of the skin and improves its resistance.

Peat pulp bath

During this bath, chemical effects of peat mud containing humic and fulvic acids, estrogenic bodies, proteins and tannins are used. The treatment is carried out with a reduction of the thermal effect between 35ºC and 37ºC.The bath has an analgesic and antispasmodic effect, and it cleanses the body of metabolic waste. Baths are used in osteoarthritis, AS, post-traumatic conditions, gynaecological diseases and diseases of the urinary tract.

Shock wave

Shock waves are acoustic waves carrying energy to the pain area. Thanks to the delivered energy, processes of treatment and regeneration of tendons and soft tissue occur. Pain relief is a benefit of using a shock wave therapy. The therapy owes its analgesic effect to blocking the release and transfer of pain signals. Moreover, the provided energy stimulates metabolism, as well as improves blood circulation and collagen synthesis, which results in a significant acceleration of soft tissue regeneration.

Biomechanical muscle stimulation

BMS is a method of therapy applied mainly to dysfunctions of the locomotor system, accelerating rehabilitation and improving the overall condition of the body. It is used by healthy people to prevent diseases of the locomotor system, as a fast warm up and a method for improving the general fitness and increasing the muscle strength and mass, as well as for body shaping. It is also one of the most effective physical methods for weight loss withina comprehensive programme of weight reduction. BMS results in warmed-up muscles, improved blood circulation and, consequently, an increase in metabolism. Depending on the applied frequency of vibration, it allows one to achieve the effect of muscle strengthening or relaxation and normalization of muscle tension, as well as an analgesic effect. In the therapy, three devices are used:a Miniswing of local effect, a Multiswing of both systemic and local effects and a Bestvibe of systemic effect.15 minutes of training using the BSM method substitute 90 minutes of traditional training.

Ultrasounds

The tissue subjected to this treatment undergoes a micromassage, which results in an increased temperature and accelerated microcirculation. This allows us to achieve analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oedema, bioregeneration and relaxing effects, as well as to accelerate the healing of damaged tissues.

Magnetic field

As a result of the influence of an alternating magnetic field, ions contained in body cells are moved, which causes hyperpolarisation of the cell membrane and thus enhances metabolism. It improves blood circulation, accelerates wound healing and increases the utilization of oxygen by the cell. It results in pain relief, prevents inflammatory conditions, supports quick regeneration of damaged bone structures (fractures, dislocations, sprains) and relaxes tense muscles.

Manual therapy

It deals with diagnoses and treatment of structural disorders of the locomotor system. Due to an elaborated schema of discriminatory tests, a physiotherapist uses a detailed medical history and physical examination to find disordered structures, determine a degree of damage and analyse mechanisms for the appearance of symptoms. Thus, they can formulate a hypothesis on the patient’s structural disorder and, consequently, an objective of the therapy. To maintain the progress in treatment, the therapist recommends appropriate exercises and gives guidance on how to maintain the correct posture during day and night.

Massage

Classic massage

It is one of the oldest forms of therapy known to man. Through carefully selected hand techniques, a masseur can relax muscles, skin and subcutaneous tissues, as well as increase blood circulation in a treated area, which results in a reduction in pain and acceleration of tissue healing. The achieved effect of muscle relaxation also results in psycho-physical relaxation, helping to combat stress and mental fatigue

It is a special type of massage used to treat various types of oedema. With the use of very delicate manual techniques, a masseur increases the flow of lymphatic fluid, which results in the clearing of lymph flow paths, a decrease in oedema and facilitation of tissue functioning handicapped due to oedema. Over a longer period, the use of drainage helps to form substitute paths of lymph circulation, which prevent the recurrence of oedema.

Exercises in the pool

Doing exercises in the morning affects positively the mood because endorphins, called hormones of happiness, are released. Morning exercises stretch muscles and warm up joints effectively, preparing them to be active during the day. They do not require much effort; thus, they do not cause shock to the body. They “wake up” the muscles gradually, improve blood circulation, and - what is important for dieters - speed up metabolism for the whole day, due to which the body burns calories faster.
